You could create documents in another database, which have the user name, the docid, database replica id and a subject field from the source document. The users "view" could open from that database and allow them to see "their" documents. This could be applied to other databases to form a "My Documents" list. Their may be some maintenance to make sure the subject fields are kept in line and you deal with documents which may be deleted from the source database.
